June 3rd - June 24th 2022 Rotary Arts Centre Artist Talk & Opening Reception June 3rd from 4-7pm
Join Jennifer Young, an encaustic and mixed media artist from St. John’s, and Jean Wills, an artist from Corner Brook, for an artist talk on Friday, June 3rd, 4pm at the Colemans Theatre at Rotary Arts Centre.
The talk will encompass Jennifer's encaustic art practice and process, and her approach to working as an artist. During the talk she will be doing a brief demonstration of encaustic (hot wax) painting. Additionally, Jennifer will introduce the exhibition DRIFT, a collaborative show with artist Jean Wills, opening that evening in the Tina Dolter Gallery. The artists will describe how the collaboration came about, how the project evolved and what they learned in the process.
Following the Artist Talk, a reception celebrating Drift will be held from 5-7pm. Everyone is welcome!
