About Us

The League of Artists of Western Newfoundland (LAWN) is a non-profit, artist run, organization committed to supporting and promoting artists living in Western Newfoundland by providing arts opportunities and services to its members and the community through co-operative Visual Arts programming and volunteer efforts.

LAWN's commitment is met by seeking out funding and venues for holding exhibitions and community art events for member artists, acting as a lobby group on their behalf, raising the profile of the Visual Arts on the West Coast and further afield, and developing creative programming for workshops, educational activities and other efforts as identified by the group.  

 

Membership is open to all artists, arts-affiliated organizations, and individuals with an interest in the Visual Arts within Western Newfoundland. LAWN represents all artists and has no bias with regard to artistic style or production.
